Promo emails can make the difference between having a really good sale turnout or a flop. Use them to announce/remind about sales, discounts, and offers. There are three key elements to create a successful promo email:
Make your sale obvious and clear (hint: it should be the first thing subscribers see).
Use urgency or scarcity messaging.
Use a clear CTA and tell your customers exactly how they can redeem your offer (Do they need a code? Or is the discount automatically applied at checkout?).
Do your subscribers need some additional info on how your product works? Would they benefit from a gear guide to help them shop? Educational emails are designed to provide value for your customers. They help build relationships and trust. No trust = no sale. Their key elements are:
Use a strong hook to keep readers interested.
Include a clear CTA about what action you’d like them to take after reading.
Make sure the content is actually value-adding/helpful - subscribers will see right through fluff (ask yourself: did I actually learn something new after reading this?)
Got a new product launching? These emails are key to a successful launch. You can use them to tease before a launch and when the product actually launches (we recommend doing a mix of both). Be sure to include these elements:
Build hype and excitement - tell them why your product is cool (include benefits).
Include social proof (reviews/testimonials from early users).
Tell them how to shop & lead them directly to the product page.
Almost every business faces stock issues at some point. Turn this into an exciting email campaign and freshly-stocked items will fly off your shelves. There are two ways to approach this email. You can use it as more of a “pre-order email” to secure purchases while you’re waiting for stock or use it to announce new stock. Either way, be sure to:
Emphasize urgency and scarcity (you’re popular and don’t be afraid to show it).
Get your segmenting right - if you have a list of people who clicked “notify me when back in stock” then be sure to make a dedicated campaign for them and another one for the rest of your list.
Have a star product? Or want to show off some cool features? A product highlight email will put your product front and center for subscribers. You can focus on a single product or highlight 2-3 of them. Your pick. Just be sure to:
Include social proof (reviews, testimonials, UGC, PR, etc.).
Tell or show your customers why they need it through convincing copy and visuals.
Include clear CTAs that lead directly to the product(s).
